About Tab (Global Settings)
The About tab in FMX Global Settings shows the current application version, license and connected-account information, Foto Master contact details, Remote Support status, and direct links to customer resources.
Use it before contacting support, moving a license, confirming the connected Cloud account, or starting an attended ScreenSteer session.
Open the About Tab
- Open Global Settings.
- Select About.
Version Information
The header shows:
- FMX version: The installed application version.
- Build date: The date of the installed build.
- Foto Master: The application publisher.
Include the complete FMX version when reporting an issue. A feature or fix may depend on the exact build installed on the booth.
License Information
The License section can show:
- Product: The Foto Master product attached to the current license.
- License: Active, lifetime, valid-until, expired, or offline status.
- License Key: A masked identifier. FMX does not expose the complete value on this screen.
- 24/7 Support: Whether extended support is included and, when available, its renewal date.
- A Cloud link for adding support when it is not included.
When FMX cannot reach Cloud, it can show locally available license information with an offline status. Restore internet access and reopen the tab to refresh the live details.
Connected Account and Cloud Plan
- Connected Account: The email address of the Foto Master account currently associated with the FMX license/session.
- Cloud Account Plan: The available Foto Master Cloud plan name.
Check Connected Account when an event, license, Cloud asset, or service appears under a different account than expected.
Device ID
Device ID identifies the booth computer for licensing and support diagnostics. Support may ask for it when investigating activation, transfer, or device-specific problems.
Do not confuse Device ID with the masked License Key or the connected account email.
Contact Information
The Contact section provides:
- Foto Master support email
- Support phone number
- Sales phone number
Use Remote Support only after you have contacted Foto Master and an authorized agent is ready to assist.
Remote Support
The Remote Support section controls attended ScreenSteer assistance.
Possible actions and statuses include:
- Start Remote Support
- Cancel Request while waiting for an agent
- Stop Remote Support during an active session
- Try Again after a connection fault
- Waiting, view-only, control, reconnecting, and ended states
No FMX screen pixels are shared until the booth operator approves the verified agent name. Sensitive fields and protected actions remain redacted or local-only.
See How to Use ScreenSteer Remote Support in FMX for Windows for the complete procedure and privacy protections.

The Resources section includes direct links to:
- Cloud AI Platform: Open Foto Master Cloud.
- Knowledge Base: Open the FMX for Windows support articles.

Troubleshooting
License fields keep loading
Check internet access and Foto Master Cloud availability, then close and reopen Global Settings. Locally available information may appear while live Cloud details are unavailable.
Connected Account shows a dash or the wrong email
Confirm which account signed in to FMX. Log out and sign in with the intended account if necessary, then reopen About.
The Knowledge Base or Feedback link does not open
Check the Windows default browser and internet connection. You can also open support.fotomaster.com directly.
Remote Support is unavailable
Use the 64-bit FMX build, update FMX, restart the application, and check security software or network restrictions.
The license must move to another computer
Follow Move FMX to Another Computer so the license and booth data are handled safely.
