Summary
The Storage tab controls where FMX saves your event media and whether the app auto-deletes older content and writes system logs.
Changes apply immediately for testing; click Save Changes to keep them for next time.
Controls
Base Folder
Displays the root folder FMX uses for events and media (photos, videos, GIFs, scans).
Change Folder… opens a picker to select a new base folder.
Auto-Delete Old Content
ON → FMX cleans up older content per the “Delete after N days” setting.
OFF → no auto-deletion.
Delete after N days
Number of days to retain content before cleanup.
Only digits allowed; minimum = 1.
Empty/invalid resets to default (30) when focus leaves the field.
System Log
ON → FMX writes detailed logs to
C:\FMX\Logs
with automatic rotation.OFF → disables file logging.
Takes effect immediately; Save persists the choice.
How to change the Base Folder
Click Change Folder…
Select the target directory and confirm.
Field updates immediately; click Save Changes to persist.
Auto-delete (behavior)
Enable Auto-Delete and set retention days (≥1).
Invalid input resets to 30 days.
Applies only to FMX-managed media under Base Folder.
Keep OFF during critical events if you’re unsure what to retain.
System Log
Enabled → logs saved to
C:\FMX\Logs
with rotation.Toggle affects runtime instantly.
Persisted only after Save.
Save behavior
All edits apply immediately but persist only after clicking Save Changes.

Recommended workflow
Choose a fast, reliable local Base Folder (avoid unstable network/USB paths).
Enable Auto-Delete with safe retention (e.g., 30 days) if cleanup is desired.
Enable System Log if you need saved diagnostics.
Click Save Changes.
Troubleshooting
Folder picker blocked → retry; check Windows prompts or policies; type path manually if needed.
Auto-delete not running → runs on schedule, not instantly.
Letters in Days field → blocked by design (digits only).
No logs in
C:\FMX\Logs
→ ensure System Log is ON, folder may appear after first log, check permissions.
