Syncing Your EventUpdated 9 hours ago

When to Use

  • After installing FMX to pull down your event content and get ready to operate

  • When switching to a different event before a session

Requirements

  • Internet access

  • Cloud Account and an active license

  • FMX open on the Main Dashboard

Steps (Quick)

1. Open FMX and Go to the Main Dashboard

  • Launch FMX.exe and ensure you’re on the main screen

  • If prompted to sign in, complete sign-in

2. Choose Your Event

  • Pick your desired event from the list

  • Click Sync Event

3. Sync Started

  • FMX begins fetching event data: workflow, layout, video fusion, assets, and settings needed for operation

4. Watch the Status

  • The dashboard shows sync progress and completion

  • Wait until the progress bar disappears

5. Confirm Event is Ready to Play

  • Click Start Photo Booth and run through your workflow once as a test

  • If your event has branded elements, confirm they appear correctly when reaching the relevant step or preview

Verification

You’ve successfully synced your event if:

  • Dashboard displayed a progress bar that disappeared after completion

  • Last sync time reflects your recent action

  • Event name on the dashboard matches your selection

  • Required assets are visible and ready

Troubleshooting

Wrong Event Selected

  • Reopen the event chooser → select the correct event → sync again

Network/Firewall Issue

  • Ensure stable internet connection

  • If prompted by Windows Firewall, allow access

  • On managed networks, try a different connection or contact IT

Stuck on “Syncing…”

  • Cancel and retry

  • Close FMX, relaunch, and try again

  • Avoid syncing from a network drive or folder that restricts writes

Credentials Expired

  • Sign out and back in if you see authentication errors, then retry sync
