When Final Photo is Saved?Updated 19 hours ago

Overview

The Final Photo is the finished image created from your event’s layout — including photos, graphics, text, QR codes, and other design elements.
FMX saves it automatically at specific points so guests can view, print, or share it.

When It Is Saved

1. At the End of the Workflow (Normal Use)

After guests complete the experience, FMX saves the Final Photo automatically before starting the next session.

2. When Pressing ESC to Exit (If Everything Is Ready)

If you exit early with ESC and all layout assets are already available (e.g., photos, overlays, signatures), FMX saves the Final Photo before closing.
If any required element is missing, FMX exits immediately without saving.

3. When Restarting the Workflow in Place (If Everything Is Ready)

If you restart the session mid-experience (using the restart option or hotkey) and all layout assets are already available, FMX first saves the current Final Photo, then starts a new session.

When It Is Not Saved

  • When pressing ESC before all required assets (like photos or overlays) are ready.

  • When the layout file is missing or invalid.

  • When an unexpected error prevents rendering.

Where It Is Saved

  • The Final Photo is stored in your current event’s FinalPhoto folder with a time-stamped file name.

  • If Cloud Sync for Final Photos is enabled in Settings, it’s automatically queued for upload once saved.

Tips

  • Ending the experience normally ensures the Final Photo is always saved automatically.

Troubleshooting

No Final Photo after pressing ESC?
A required layout element was likely missing. Run the workflow to the end or confirm all assets exist before exiting.

Still not seeing it?
Check your event’s FinalPhoto folder and verify that your layout references valid images available on your system.
