Hi all!
This article will show you the various ways that will allow you to transfer your saved files from the iPad Booth to your computer.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Saving your files:
- First, make sure that your workflow has "Save Photo" and\or "Save Boomerang" Feature states.
- Then go to the Settings Screen > Save > enable the desired saving options (Saving the Raw photos, saving to the App files [the preset pack], saving to the iPad's Camera Roll, or both).
- If you wanted the photos to be in your Camera Roll, but forgot to enable it in the Settings screen, you can always copy the event folder's content to the Camera Roll:
1. Browse to the desired Event folder in your preset pack (On My iPad > Foto Master App).
2. Select the photos you want to move to the Camera Roll.
3. Press "Share" > "Save X Images".
Dropbox:
As of V1.1.6, Foto Master's iPad Booth allows you to sync your saved final photo, raw photos and boomerang files with your Dropbox account.
Please follow this article for step by step instructions.
You can also sync your photos with Dropbox externally post-event, by selecting the desired files (from the app files or from the camera roll) > Share > Dropbox and log in to your account.
Google Drive:
1. Download the Google Drive app to your iPad and log in to your account.
2. Browse to your event folder (or to your camera roll, depends on where you saved the photos) and select the photos you desire to upload to Google Drive.
3. Select "Share" and then select the Drive option and save the files where you'd like on your Google Drive.
iTunes to PC:
1. Connect your iPad to your computer with a USB cord.
2. Download and install the last iTunes version from Apple's website. When you'll be asked by the software if you trust the device, please confirm.
3. Wait a few moments until you see the iPad's icon on the upper-left side of the iTunes window.
4. Open PC's "Photos" app (open the Start menu and search for "Photos")
5. Click "Import" and select to import photos "From a USB device"
6. Your computer will begin looking for photos on your iPad.
*Only the files that are saved on the iPad's camera roll will appear there.
7. Uncheck the photos that you don't want to import from your iPad onto your computer (or click Unselect all and then select the file that you want to import).
8. Click on "Import Settings" and uncheck the "Delete items from my device after I import them" checkbox. This prevents the photos from being deleted off of your iPad.
9. Click "Import selected" and the photos will be on your computer.
WeTransfer:
With this option, you'll be able to either select several files at once from the iPad's camera roll, or a photo at a time from the app files. Yet, you will be able to send the desired files at once, while WeTransfer will compress them all into a zipped folder that you'll be able to extract once downloaded.
1. Open a browser on your iPad (Safari, Google Chrome) and browse the desired file.
2. Send the files to the desired email address and download it from your inbox to your computer.
3. WeTransfer will now download to your computer a zipped file. To extract its content, right-click on the folder and "Extract all" and extract the folder to the desired location.
MAC users:
If you have a MAC computer, you can connect your iPad to your MAC and browse the preset pack's content under "Locations".
That's it ! you are set to share the files with your customer from your computer or directly from the iPad.
