How to Use the Scanner for Palm Reading in Fortuna AIUpdated a day ago

In this article, we’ll cover how to set up and use your scanner to capture hand scans for use with Fortuna AI's Palm Reading feature, including the recommended workflow for optimal performance.

Getting Started

The fastest way to begin is to download one of Foto Master’s pre-made presets.
Any preset labeled with “Palm Reading” includes the scanner setup and demonstrates how scanning integrates into the flow. These templates allow you to preview the scanning and AI processing behavior immediately.

Basic Workflow for Hand Scanning

To set up scanning manually, follow the steps below:

  1. Add a feature named “Scan”
This feature initiates the scanner and captures the hand image.

  2. Add an animation right after triggered by “Scan Done”
This ensures your workflow only continues after the scanning operation is complete.

Scanner Behavior and Warm-Up Time

  • On first use (or after a long idle period), the scanner requires approximately 10 seconds to warm up.

  • If used again shortly after, scans will start almost instantly (~1 second).

  • If too much time passes between scans, the scanner will cool down and require another warm-up cycle.

Where the Scan is Saved

Once the scan is complete, the image is automatically saved to:
{Event Folder}/scans

When the Palm Reading AI feature is reached, FMBooth automatically retrieves the latest scan from this folder and sends it to the Cloud to analyze the lines of your hand based on palmistry principles.
