Question about viewing a full custom Experience View

Hi FotoMaster team, I have a question and feature request regarding Experience View. When I go to the Select Preset page, I’m able to see FotoMaster’s preset Experience Views in a full visual preview format. I’m wondering whether there is a way to view the full Experience View that I created myself in the same kind of display/preview on the website. In other words, I’d like to know whether custom Experience Views can be previewed in the same way that FotoMaster preset Experience Views are shown on the preset selection page. If this is already possible, could you please let me know how to access that view? If it is not currently available, I’d like to suggest it as a future feature. It would be extremely helpful to be able to preview the full custom Experience View directly from the website without having to load it onto the Mirror booth first. Right now, in order to see what I created, I need to physically take out the Mirror booth, set it up, and test the Experience View on the hardware itself. This makes the process of building and reviewing Experience Views very time-consuming, especially when I want to check multiple screens, the full flow, or small design changes before an event. It would also be very valuable if there were a way to share that full Experience View preview with a client before the event, so they could review the flow, provide feedback, and approve the design in advance without needing the booth to be set up. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you for the detailed request. This makes a lot of sense, and we agree that being able to preview a full custom Experience View from the cloud would be very valuable, especially when preparing an event and getting client approval in advance. The previews you currently see on the Select Preset page are not generated live inside the browser. For Foto Master presets, we first load the experience into FMX, run it, record the screen, and then upload that preview so customers can see the flow before deciding whether to use the preset. For custom Experience Views, the ideal solution is exactly what you described: being able to preview the full flow from the website and eventually share a preview link with a client. There are a few technical items we need to handle properly first. Some workflow steps depend on booth hardware, such as taking a photo with the camera, printing, and other device-related actions, so the web preview will need to simulate or skip those steps clearly. It is also important to mention that a web preview will not replace proper testing on the actual FMX machine before an event. A preview is naturally a semi-mock environment, designed to help review the design, screens, flow, and client approval process faster. Final testing should still be done on the real booth with the real camera, printer, sharing settings, and any connected devices before going live at an event. Another important part is media optimization. Videos that work well locally inside the desktop app can be very large, and on the web they need to be converted into web-optimized versions so the preview loads quickly. This may also require additional storage because the system would need to keep both the original media and the web-preview version. This feature is already aligned with the web-based FMX work we are developing. Our plan is to add this preview capability as part of that direction, rather than building it twice in two different systems. FMX for Web is currently in development, and our target is to have this type of preview capability available before the end of 2026. Thanks again for submitting this. I agree this is an important feature, and now that it is published here, other customers can vote for it and help us prioritize it.

Use DSLR Shutter Button to Trigger the FMX Workflow

We would like FMX to support starting the workflow directly from the DSLR camera shutter button. When the operator presses the camera’s shutter button, FMX should save the captured photo and automatically continue to the next step in the workflow, the same way it does after the current “Take Photo” action.

    Foto MasterJun 16, 2026

Thank you for the clear suggestion. This is a valuable workflow improvement, especially for events where the DSLR is operated manually. We’ve marked this as planned and will review the best way to support DSLR shutter-triggered workflows in FMX.

    Online Galerie

I would like to suggest an improvement for the online gallery/share page. When guests scan the QR code and open their photo, they currently get to the sharing area. It would be very helpful if this page could also include social media links from the photo booth provider. There is currently no way for photo booth providers to promote their social media profiles or website in the online gallery after guests scan the QR code.

    Foto MasterJul 5, 2026

Hi Muhammed, Thank you for the suggestion. We agree this is a useful improvement for the online gallery and share page. We are adding a customizable footer section that will allow photo booth providers to add their own links, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, website, and other relevant pages. This will make it easier for guests to find and follow the provider after viewing their photos, and help providers increase visibility and strengthen their branding after each event.

    Custom Workflows/prompts for Special guests

The core request: The ability to trigger different workflows based on a scanned QR code or an entered code. I'd like a code, either scanned via the camera or typed in on screen, to determine which content or flow a session uses. Two levels, if helpful for prioritization: Basic: A code switches between a few predefined workflows or templates (e.g. code A → flow 1, code B → flow 2). Advanced: A mapping table (e.g. CSV import) assigns an individual value to each code, code → prompt / text / layout / background — so the experience can be personalized per guest. Ideally the AI prompt would be variable per code as well. Use case: For weddings, the couple selects individual guests in advance (parents, best man, maid of honor). Each receives their own code. When a guest scans or enters it at the mirror, content prepared specifically for them is triggered — for example a personalized AI image prompt or a personal welcome screen. Why this matters: AI features are quickly becoming standard, so differentiation now comes from personalization and emotional storytelling. Code-triggered, individualized guest experiences would be a strong unique selling point — and to my knowledge no competitor currently offers this. Could you let me know whether code-based workflow triggering is feasible or perhaps already on your roadmap? Best regards, Thorsten

    Foto MasterJun 28, 2026

Approved. We already support access codes, and we agree this is a valuable expansion. We will develop the ability for different codes to trigger different predefined workflow steps or flows, so one code can send a guest to one experience path while another code can send a different guest to another path. This fits well with personalized guest experiences and will be planned for an upcoming FMX for Windows version.

    Save User name feature

A simple save user name check box when logging on that almost every website on the internet has so I can save that one step and my employees can also skip over that step.

    Foto Master18 days ago

Thank you for the suggestion! We’ve added this feature to FMX 2.0, coming soon. FMX can securely remember and automatically fill in your email and password on the login screen, so you won’t need to enter them each time.

Add Native BLE Support for Salsa Booth (SP107E) and Mobibooth Aura LED Light Controllers

Requesting the integration of native Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) controls for the Salsa Booth and Mobibooth Aura hardware systems within the software workflow. 1. Salsa Booth Integration: The Salsa Booth uses a standard commercial SP107E Bluetooth pixel controller (operates on the Sperll/BanlanX protocol). The software needs to scan for peripheral name "SP107E" and write standard hex byte arrays to command states like countdown chases, static ring light modes, and full brightness exposure flashes. 2. Mobibooth Aura Integration: The Aura uses Mobibooth's custom proprietary internal BLE module (broadcasts as "Mobibooth" or "MB-LED"). The dev team will need to use standard BLE GATT service/characteristic UUIDs to communicate with it. Implementing these allows the software to natively trigger animations and exposure flashes directly on these popular iPad booth shells, identical to how competitor apps (like Snappic) handle them.

Add a way to print wirelessly off the internet

I would like to see a way to print wirelessly from an iPad or PC wirelessly a print server on a computer connected to a printer. Similar to FM print but without having to be connected to the internet. Using a local network to transmit from the device. Taking the pictures to the print server so we can print them.

    Equal rotation of action/overlay/etc

This would be a request for FMX Windows & FMX iOS. Would like to be able to enter multiple overlays and/or AI actions and the system would equally rotate through them so each item get equal use

    Foto MasterJul 8, 2026

Hi Nick, Thank you for the suggestion. You can already rotate items in FMX today using the Selection Screen step with Rotate Randomly enabled. This can be used to randomly rotate layouts, overlays, workflow paths, AI prompts, Video Fusion options, or steps. That said, you are correct that your request is not only for random rotation. You are asking for equal rotation, so each option gets used evenly over time. Today FMX supports random rotation, but not guaranteed equal usage. We agree this is useful, especially for sponsor activations, and we will add an Equal Rotation option so the system can rotate through the items evenly instead of selecting randomly. Thanks again for pointing this out.

    Resend Text Email

It would be great to be able to resend a text or email from the cloud versus the software itself

    Foto MasterJul 6, 2026

Thank you, Nicholas. This is a great suggestion and we agree it would be valuable to resend a text or email directly from Foto Master Cloud after the event, without needing to reopen the software or use a personal phone. We have this planned and will update once it moves closer to release.

    Ability to run external items

We are developing an external hardware appliance that integrates with professional photo booth workflows and would love to see FotoMaster support configurable outbound webhooks (HTTP/HTTPS POST with JSON payloads). The ability to trigger webhooks at key points in the workflow—such as session start, countdown, photo captured, final image rendered, printing started/completed, and errors—would enable seamless integration with external devices and services including print appliances, lighting controllers, AI image processing, analytics, and other automation systems. Ideally, the webhook would include information such as: Event type Session ID Final rendered image path (or URL) Print size/layout Copy count Timestamp Optional event metadata Support for API keys or Bearer token authentication would also be appreciated. This would provide a vendor-neutral integration platform that benefits many users while allowing third-party hardware and software to extend FotoMaster without requiring custom integrations. Thank you for considering this feature.

    Foto MasterJul 4, 2026

Webhooks are currently in development for both FMX for iPad and FMX for Windows. Once released, you will be able to add a Webhook Step inside your workflow, configure the webhook endpoint, and select which data should be sent to your external system. This will allow users to pass workflow data such as session events, captured or rendered media, print-related events, errors, and other supported metadata. Because this is an advanced integration feature, it is planned to be available for Scale cloud accounts. Thank you for the detailed request. This is exactly the type of use case we are building this feature to support.

Display Generated AI Image in the Event Activity Feed

When an AI Cloud request is completed, include a thumbnail of the generated image (or a clickable preview) alongside the existing activity details in the Event Activity Feed. The Activity Feed already displays the timestamp, AI model, and AI Cloud feature used. Adding the resulting image would provide a complete record of each AI generation, making it much easier to verify outcomes, troubleshoot issues, and review event activity after the fact. One additional but related enhancement is storing the prompt that was submitted alongside the image. As someone building custom AI experiences, having the timestamp + model + prompt + generated image would turn the Activity Feed into a complete audit log. That would be incredibly valuable not only for troubleshooting but also for refining prompts over time.

    Foto MasterJul 1, 2026

Thank you, Timothy. This is a very strong and practical suggestion. We agree that the Event Activity Feed should provide better visibility into what actually happened during each AI Cloud request. We will add this improvement: when an AI Cloud request is successful, the Activity Feed will show the recorded request parameters together with the generated output preview. If the request fails, the Activity Feed will show more detailed error information where available. To keep storage usage reasonable and avoid creating another area that users need to manage manually, this data will be stored temporarily for up to 7 days from the time of generation, and then automatically deleted. This should make it much easier to confirm whether the issue was related to the AI generation itself, the submitted prompt, cloud communication, or workflow misconfiguration. Thanks again for taking the time to clearly explain the use case.

Add Filter to Background Matching Camera Filter While Using AI Background Removal

Currently when using both the AI Background Removal and Camera Filters, the camera filter applies to the camera photo only, without the option to apply the selected filter to the background as well. For example, if you choose the "Black and White" filter, it will apply to the person in the photo, not the background behind them. In the old FM Booth software, you'd use a green screen to project the background behind people. Thus the camera filter applied to both the people in the photo and the background. We'd love to have the ability to apply the selected camera filter to the background as well in FMX.

    Foto Master7 days ago

Thanks, James! We really appreciate the suggestion. This feature is planned, and we’re looking forward to adding the ability to apply the selected camera filter to the background as well.

Add Whitelabel Event Code System allowing subcontractors restricted access to a single event+license

This is a direct request in relation to how the Snappic white label event code system works, which we rely on heavily for dozens of events per year. However, we would like to expand our white label capabilities to also include Photomaster Cloud if this feature were to be added.

    Foto Master11 days ago

Thank you, Peyton. We’re preparing new packages, including an Enterprise plan. It will include OEM capabilities that allow you to create and manage sub-accounts with restricted access to specific events and licenses. This feature is currently planned for Q4 2026.

    Mirror Air Booth Protective Case

The case for the Mirror Air Booth is not user friendly with the bottom barely being velcro'd. It should safely be able to support the heavy weight of the booth, and it currently does not in my opinion. For $450 the case should protect my $10K+ investment. Now Im trying to figure out a safe addition to the current set up.

    Foto Master13 days ago

Thank you for raising this concern. The case uses a specialized lightweight protective material that has provided reliable protection for many customers over many years. We selected a heavy-duty zipper because our testing found it more reliable than Velcro, which can gradually lose strength over time. With proper zipper handling, the case should remain secure and durable. However, we will revisit the design with our engineers and industrial designers to evaluate whether additional reinforcement could improve it further.
