Air Graffiti Wall: Software Setup

Updated Today · 4 min readBeginner

This guide walks you through installing and configuring AGWall on the laptop included with your Air Graffiti Wall, signing in to Foto Master Cloud, calibrating the projection, and running a test session.

Before You Start

  • The booth is physically assembled per the Setup Checklist — projector mounted, rear screen square, laptop in position.
  • Power is connected to the laptop, projector, digital receiver, and (if used) printer.
  • You have your Foto Master Cloud email and password handy.
  • An internet connection is available (Cloud features and license activation need it).

Step 1: Install AGWall

The Turn-Key laptop ships with AGWall pre-installed. If you are setting up your own laptop (BYO), or reinstalling:

  1. Sign in to cloud.fotomaster.com and open the AGWall download link from your dashboard.
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard. Accept the default install location unless your IT team requires otherwise.
  3. Launch AGWall from the desktop shortcut.

Step 2: Sign In and Activate the License

  1. On first launch, AGWall prompts for Cloud credentials. Enter your Foto Master Cloud email and password.
  2. Your AGWall license activates automatically against the seat assigned to your account. If you see a license error, confirm the seat is active at Cloud → Account → Licenses.

Step 3: Connect the Projector and Set Resolution

  1. Connect the projector to the laptop via HDMI or DisplayPort.
  2. In Windows Display Settings, set the projector to Extend (not Duplicate) and make it the primary or secondary display per your installation layout.
  3. Match the Windows display resolution to the projector's native resolution.
  4. In AGWall Settings → Display, select the projector output and confirm the AGWall canvas fills the rear screen edge-to-edge.
  5. Use the projector's focus and keystone controls until the projected image is sharp and rectangular.

Tip: Dim the ambient light in the booth area before you start calibrating — projection visibility changes a lot between dim and bright lighting, and you want to calibrate against the conditions your event will actually run in.

Step 4: Pair and Calibrate the Spray Cans

  1. Power on the digital receiver and confirm AGWall detects it (Settings → Devices).
  2. Power on each spray can. AGWall should list each can as it pairs.
  3. Open the Calibration tool from the AGWall main menu.
  4. Aim at the targets that appear on the projection in sequence. Hold the spray button for ~1 second on each target.
  5. Run a sample spray after calibrating. If paint lands consistently where you aim, calibration passed. If not, repeat with the can held steady and the receiver in clear line of sight.

Tip: The receiver and the spray cans both need clear line of sight to the wall. Avoid placing the receiver behind people, signage, or the printer cart.

Step 5: Configure Camera and Printer (Optional)

If your package includes the Canon EOS DSLR for photo capture and/or the DNP printer:

  1. Connect the camera via USB. See Using EOS Utility with Your Air Graffiti Software for the camera-side configuration.
  2. Plug the DNP printer in via USB and confirm Windows shows it as Ready. Load the 4×6 media set if not already loaded.
  3. In AGWall Settings → Output, enable Print and select the DNP printer. Run a single test print to confirm output.

Step 6: Create or Sync Your Event

  1. In Foto Master Cloud, create the event for the day — name, date, duration, and any branded background templates.
  2. In AGWall, open Events and select your event from the list. AGWall pulls the event configuration from Cloud automatically.
  3. Confirm colors, brush sizes, session duration, and any background templates match what you configured in Cloud.

Step 7: Run a Test Session

  1. Start a session as if you were a guest. Spray on the wall, switch colors, switch brushes.
  2. If the session includes a photo or print, capture and print as a guest would.
  3. Verify the finished artwork appears in your event's Cloud gallery.

Once the test session passes, you are ready to go live. Continue to Running Your First Event.
