Achieving proper calibration becomes straightforward once you understand the fundamental principles. This guide explains how various settings impact page and inner card padding.

Padding and Printer-Cutter Calibration

Within the "Flipbook" tab's "Settings" menu, you'll find padding options on the left with a visual preview on the right. Adjust settings to observe real-time effects on page and card representation.

Note: For detailed calibration steps, refer to the dedicated calibration article.

Key Settings

Show Borders: Display card and page borders to better understand where adjustments are needed. Printing test pages with visible borders helps identify necessary padding changes.

Print Test Page: Generate a single test page using current padding settings for calibration verification.

Page-Level Padding

  • Page Padding Right/Left/Top/Bottom: Creates white margins on respective sides; page borders move with these adjustments
  • Page Vertical Gap: Establishes vertical spacing (compatible with single-pass cutters supporting vertical gaps)
  • Page Horizontal Gap: Establishes horizontal spacing (compatible with multi-pass cutters supporting horizontal gaps)

Card-Level Padding

  • Card Padding Right/Top/Bottom: Sets inner image dimensions and creates white borders; the page border remains stationary when adjusted

Important Note

This is a one-time-only process. It is recommended to take a screenshot of your settings and save them locally on your computer.
