How to Use a Test Photo in FMX (iPad) to Send an Image to DrawMeApp from MAC
Overview
You can use an existing photo to test your FMX workflow and send the image to DrawMeApp without capturing a new photo using the camera.
To do this, enable Test Mode in FMX on your iPad and place the image you want to use in the designated TestPhoto folder.
Requirements
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
FMX installed on your iPad.
Access to the FMX settings.
The image you want to use, saved on your Mac.
A way to transfer the image from your Mac to your iPad.
Step 1: Enable Test Mode in FMX
Open FMX on your iPad.
Navigate to Global Settings.
Select Photo Capture.
Enable Test Mode.
Once Test Mode is enabled, FMX can use a test image instead of capturing a new photo with the camera.
Step 2: Transfer Your Image to the TestPhoto Folder
Transfer the image you want to use from your Mac to your iPad.
Open the Files app on your iPad.
Navigate to the following folder:
On My iPad → FMX → Assets → TestPhoto
Copy or transfer your desired image from your Mac into the TestPhoto folder.
Verify that the image is available in the folder before proceeding.
Important: Make sure the image is placed in the correct folder so FMX can use it during the test session.
Step 3: Start the FMX Photobooth Session
Return to FMX on your iPad.
Start the photobooth session with Test Mode enabled.
Proceed through the workflow as you normally would.
FMX should use the image stored in the TestPhoto folder instead of capturing a new photo with the camera.
Step 4: Send the Image to DrawMeApp
Once FMX has loaded the test image, proceed through the configured workflow to send the image to DrawMeApp.
Verify that the image is processed and delivered as expected.
Troubleshooting
If FMX does not use your test image, check the following:
Test Mode is enabled: Confirm that Test Mode is active under Global Settings → Photo Capture.
Correct folder: Ensure the image is stored in On My iPad → FMX → Assets → TestPhoto.
Image availability: Verify that the image is accessible from the Files app.
Workflow configuration: Confirm that your FMX workflow is configured correctly to process and send the image to DrawMeApp.
If the issue persists, contact FotoMaster Support for further assistance.
Summary
To test an existing photo with DrawMeApp, enable Test Mode in FMX, transfer the image from your Mac to the TestPhoto folder on your iPad, start the photobooth session, and proceed through your configured workflow to send the image to DrawMeApp.
