Finding Your Virtual Activation ID Using MD5 Hash

Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. The next generation — PMWall — is coming soon.

Note: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. The new PMWall manages activations directly in the Cloud dashboard with no need for MD5 lookups. See PMWall Overview.

Overview

This process helps identify online activations in the Cloud tab of Photo Mosaic Wall software, even when local files don't exist.

The Three-Step Process

Step 1: Extract from URL

"Open the URL in your browser and find the part in the link that is right after the event name -- it will appear as numbers followed by a hyphen and the activation name and copy it."

Copy this activation identifier from your online activation link.

Step 2: Generate MD5 Hash

  1. Visit an MD5 hash generator tool (such as md5hashgenerator.com)
  2. Input the activation name you copied in Step 1
  3. Generate the hash

"The number that will appear under the MD5 Hash category is your online activation ID."

Step 3: Match in Software

  1. Open Photo Mosaic Wall software
  2. Navigate to the Cloud tab
  3. Compare the generated hash number with the numbers in the ID column to identify your specific activation

Result

This method allows you to identify and manage cloud activations without needing local files, letting you decide whether to retain or remove specific activations from your cloud storage.
