Legacy Article: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. The next generation — PMWall — is coming soon.

Note: This article covers the legacy Photo Mosaic Wall software. The new PMWall uses Cloud-based photo upload instead. See PMWall Overview.

Overview

The Photo Mosaic Wall software enables guests to submit photos via text message using a Twilio virtual number integration.

Setup Requirements

Account Setup

  • Create a Twilio account at twilio.com
  • Purchase a virtual phone number capable of receiving MMS

Note: This option is available for the USA and Canada only.

Configuration Steps

  1. Obtain your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token from your Twilio dashboard
  2. Enter these credentials into the Photo Mosaic Wall software
  3. Enable the MMS monitoring checkbox in settings
  4. Distribute your Twilio number to guests

How It Works

Guests simply text photos to your assigned Twilio number, and the software automatically receives and displays them on your Photo Mosaic Wall.

Troubleshooting Checklist

Software & Settings

  • Confirm the activation is actively running
  • Verify the Enable MMS Monitoring checkbox is enabled
  • Restart the software if photos don't appear

Technical Issues

  • Test your internet connection
  • Revalidate credentials by copying from Twilio.com again
  • Confirm your account isn't a trial version
  • Verify the purchased number supports MMS
  • Check Twilio's incoming message log in Dashboard > Phone numbers

Advanced Solutions

  • Disable antivirus software temporarily
  • Test on a different network
  • Disable computer firewall (or router firewall)
  • Twilio limits file sending up to 5MB -- test with smaller image files
  • Create a fresh activation if issues persist
