Photo Mosaic Wall + Selfie Wi-Fi

Updated 2 weeks ago · 2 min readBeginner

Selfie Wi-Fi lets guests upload photos directly from their own smartphones, with no dedicated capture booth. Those photos sync to the Foto Master Cloud event gallery, where PMWall picks them up and builds the mosaic live on screen. It is the lightest way to run a full mosaic activation -- a display, a PMWall computer, and a QR code.

What You Need

  • An active PMWall license
  • An active Selfie Wi-Fi license
  • A Foto Master Cloud account with an event and Online Gallery created
  • Guest-accessible internet at the venue
  • A large display and a Windows PC to run PMWall

How It Works

  1. A guest scans the Selfie Wi-Fi QR code and uploads a photo from their phone.
  2. The photo lands in the event's Foto Master Cloud gallery.
  3. PMWall downloads the photo from that gallery.
  4. The mosaic updates live on screen.

Selfie Wi-Fi and PMWall point at the same Cloud event. That shared event is the entire integration.

Set Up Selfie Wi-Fi in Cloud

  1. In Foto Master Cloud, create or open the event.
  2. Create a Selfie Wi-Fi template and link it to the event.
  3. Configure the upload form and any moderation or consent requirements.
  4. Publish the event link and QR code for guests.

On the PMWall PC

  1. Open PMWall and sign in with your Foto Master Cloud account.
  2. Open the Dashboard tab, select the same event under Event Management, and click Sync Event.
  3. Open Settings > Cloud and confirm Download Raw Photos is enabled.
  4. Return to the Dashboard and click Start Mosaic.

Moderating Guest Uploads

Guest-submitted photos usually deserve review before they appear on a large public display. Enable Enable moderation in Settings > Runtime, then approve or reject incoming photos from the Queue Management tab.

With moderation on, PMWall holds new raw photos until they are approved, and confirms this when the mosaic starts. See PMWall Queue Management and Moderation.

Tip: Place the QR code where guests queue or sit, not only at the wall. Uploads climb sharply when people can scan while waiting.
