Photo Mosaic Wall Pricing: Legacy vs. Current PMWall
Foto Master has offered two different Photo Mosaic Wall pricing models. The legacy PMWall software license cost $5,900 as a one-time lifetime license. Its separate $590/year legacy renewal bundled Virtual Mosaic hosting on a dedicated legacy server, with up to 5 GB, plus 24/7 Support. The legacy system did not use Foto Master Cloud. For new customers under current PMWall pricing, the software license costs $99/month per device, billed annually, while Foto Master Cloud, Virtual Mosaic, and 24/7 Support are identified separately. Eligible legacy PMWall customers can upgrade without purchasing the PMWall software license again, as explained below.
Digital Mosaic vs. Virtual Mosaic
Digital Mosaic is legacy local software that runs from the event laptop and displays the mosaic on a connected computer, TV, projector, or other display. It was included with eligible legacy Photo Mosaic Wall packages, but it is not included with current PMWall.
Virtual Mosaic is the current hosted digital experience. It requires Foto Master hosting and streaming so guests can view and interact with a mosaic through a shareable event URL. Current Virtual Mosaic content uses the customer's Foto Master Cloud storage allowance. We recommend Virtual Mosaic to current PMWall customers who want a digital or online mosaic experience.

Legacy Photo Mosaic Wall Pricing
The legacy PMWall software license cost $5,900 as a one-time lifetime license. This software purchase was separate from the annual hosted-service renewal. Eligible legacy packages included the local Digital Mosaic software under the original lifetime license.
The separate legacy renewal was a single $590/year bundle that included:
- Hosted Virtual Mosaic service on a separate legacy server, not Foto Master Cloud
- Up to 5 GB of hosted Virtual Mosaic storage per legacy account on that server, unless the customer's order states otherwise
- 24/7 Support
The $590 annual charge paid for Virtual Mosaic hosting on the separate legacy server and the Support bundle. It was not the price of the legacy PMWall software license, did not include a Foto Master Cloud plan, and did not turn the local Digital Mosaic into a hosted service.
What happens if a legacy customer does not renew?
When the legacy $590/year bundle expires without renewal:
- The customer's $5,900 lifetime PMWall software license remains valid under the original license terms, subject to system compatibility.
- The customer may continue to use the local Digital Mosaic software received with the eligible original package under that lifetime license.
- Access to the separate legacy Virtual Mosaic server, hosting, streaming, and the included 5 GB storage allowance ends.
- 24/7 Support included with the bundle ends.
- Access to hosted Virtual Mosaic events and content is subject to Foto Master's retention, grace-period, and deletion terms. Export any content you want to keep before the hosted service expires.
Declining the separate $590/year legacy service renewal does not cancel the $5,900 lifetime PMWall software license or by itself remove the local Digital Mosaic software received with an eligible package.
Upgrading from Legacy to Current PMWall
Eligible legacy PMWall customers can upgrade to the current PMWall system without purchasing the PMWall software license again. They do not pay the current $99/month PMWall software-license fee for the upgraded legacy license.
After upgrading:
- Foto Master Cloud is required. The customer must purchase and maintain an active Foto Master Cloud plan to use the current PMWall system.
- 24/7 Support is optional. It can be purchased separately at the current Support price.
- Virtual Mosaic is optional. It can be purchased separately at the current Virtual Mosaic price when the customer wants a hosted digital or online mosaic experience.
- Support and Virtual Mosaic are independent choices. The customer may purchase either service, both services, or neither service. Neither is included automatically with the legacy-to-current upgrade.
An upgraded legacy customer can therefore use the current PMWall with the required Cloud plan without purchasing Support or Virtual Mosaic. For customers who want a digital or online mosaic experience, we recommend adding the current Virtual Mosaic.
Current PMWall Pricing
Standard current PMWall pricing for new customers is modular:
- PMWall software license -- required: $99/month per device ($1,188/year), billed annually.
- Foto Master Cloud -- required: Basic is $39/month per company ($468/year) and includes 5 GB; Pro is $79/month per company ($948/year) and includes 10 GB. Prices are billed annually.
- Virtual Mosaic -- optional: $49/month per account ($588/year), billed annually. Virtual Mosaic uses the storage allowance of the connected Foto Master Cloud account.
- 24/7 Support -- optional: $27/month per license ($324/year), billed annually.
Virtual Mosaic and 24/7 Support are separate choices under current pricing. A customer may add Virtual Mosaic without purchasing 24/7 Support, or purchase 24/7 Support without adding Virtual Mosaic. Digital Mosaic is not included with the current PMWall software license.
For a current PMWall customer who wants a digital or online mosaic experience, we recommend adding Virtual Mosaic. It provides the hosted, streamed experience and shareable event URL that current packages use instead of the legacy Digital Mosaic software.
Current storage is managed through Foto Master Cloud. Basic and Pro include their stated Cloud storage allowances, and customers can purchase additional storage per GB based on the active plan. Current Virtual Mosaic therefore does not have the legacy server's fixed 5 GB maximum; available capacity can be expanded through paid extra Cloud storage.
Why We Recommend the Current Virtual Mosaic
The current Virtual Mosaic is a substantial upgrade from the legacy hosted mosaic. It uses a newer, faster player and provides more features, richer animations, and significantly more control through Foto Master Cloud.

These improvements make the current Virtual Mosaic the recommended choice for in-person displays, virtual events, hybrid events, and branded activations.
If a current Photo Mosaic Wall package expressly includes first-year software or services, those items are included only for the stated first-year period. After that period, each selected component renews at its then-current price.
Does Current PMWall Include Digital Mosaic?
No. Digital Mosaic was included only with eligible legacy Photo Mosaic Wall packages and is not part of current PMWall.
- A legacy customer may continue using the local Digital Mosaic received with the original package after declining the legacy hosted-service renewal, subject to the original license terms and system compatibility.
- A current PMWall customer can use the physical mosaic workflow with the required PMWall software license and Cloud plan.
- A current PMWall customer who wants a digital or online mosaic experience should add Virtual Mosaic.
Without an active Virtual Mosaic service, current PMWall customers do not have a Digital Mosaic substitute: hosted digital mosaics, public event URLs, online interaction, hosting, and streaming are unavailable.
How Do I Know Which Pricing Applies to Me?
Check the plan name and renewal items shown in Foto Master Cloud, your order, invoice, quote, or renewal notice:
- If it identifies the $5,900 legacy lifetime PMWall software license, the original lifetime license terms apply to that software.
- If it identifies the separate legacy $590/year Photo Mosaic Wall renewal, the separate-server Virtual Mosaic and Support bundle terms apply for that paid service term.
- If an eligible legacy customer upgrades to current PMWall, the original legacy license covers the PMWall software license; an active Foto Master Cloud plan is required, while current Support and Virtual Mosaic remain separate optional purchases.
- If PMWall, Cloud, Virtual Mosaic, and Support appear as separate line items, current modular pricing applies.
The plan shown in the customer's account or written order controls. Current modular pricing does not retroactively change what was included during a previously paid legacy plan term.
