PMWall Licensing and Activation
PMWall licenses are managed in Foto Master Cloud and activated on a specific computer. This article covers signing in, activating, and checking license status.
PMWall opens on a Welcome Back screen, prompting you to sign in with your Foto Master Cloud account.
- Enter your Email and Password.
- Click Sign In.
Use Forgot Password? to reset your password through Foto Master Cloud.
Your session persists, so on a computer you have already used, PMWall goes straight to the Dashboard.
Activate a License
After signing in for the first time, PMWall shows License Management, with the prompt "Select a PMWall license to activate on this device."
The list shows each available license with:
- Product
- Valid Until
- Key
- Support
Select the license for this computer and click Activate License. Back to Login returns to the sign-in screen if you need a different account.
Licenses Are Bound to a Device
Activation ties the license to this computer's Device ID. Activate on the machine that will actually run the event, not on a laptop you are only using to prepare.
If you need to move a license to different hardware -- a replacement machine, or a failure on site -- contact Foto Master support. There is no in-app deactivation.
Tip: Activate and sync the event before you travel. Activation and event sync both need internet access, and venue connectivity is the least predictable part of any event day.
Check License Status
Open Settings > About. It shows:
- Product
- License -- the current status
- License Key
- License Id
- Environment
- Device ID -- the machine this license is bound to
License status reads as a lifetime license, a valid-until date, or an expiry date if the license has lapsed.
Quote the License Key and Device ID whenever you contact support about licensing.
Contact and Resources
The About panel also carries Foto Master contact details, including Email Support, Support Phone (+1 203 349 9983), and Sales Phone (+1 203 349 9984), plus links to the Cloud AI Platform, this Knowledge Base, the Feedback Center, and the Shop.
Signing Out
Logout is at the bottom of the Settings tab. Use it when handing the computer to another operator or account.
Signing out does not release the license from the device.
What a PMWall License Covers
The PMWall software license is per device. Foto Master Cloud, Virtual Mosaic, and 24/7 Support are licensed separately, and one Cloud plan covers the company's Foto Master licenses and devices.
For current pricing, what legacy Photo Mosaic Wall customers are entitled to, and the upgrade path, see Photo Mosaic Wall Pricing: Legacy vs. Current PMWall.
Troubleshooting Activation
- No licenses listed -- Confirm the account owns a PMWall license and that it is not already activated on another device.
- Sign-in fails -- Confirm the credentials work at cloud.fotomaster.com.
- The event list is empty after signing in -- The account may lack access to the event, or the license may not be assigned to it. PMWall falls back to cached events when it cannot reach the Cloud.
- License shows as expired -- Renew in Foto Master Cloud, then sign out and back in.
For log collection, enable the Licensing category under Settings > Storage > Log Categories.
