Global Settings: CameraUpdated 3 hours ago

The Camera section allows you to configure how the device captures and displays images during the experience. It includes options to select the camera position (front or rear), define the camera type (such as Built-in True Depth Camera), and maintain the correct aspect ratio. The Fill Mode ensures the preview fits the screen properly, while the Live View Mirror option provides a more natural, user-friendly display. Additional configurations are available under Advanced Settings for further customization and control.

Camera Position

  • Front – Selects the front-facing camera of the iPad.
  • Rear – Selects the rear-facing camera of the iPad

Camera Type

Built-in TrueDepth Camera

  • A front-facing camera capable of detecting depth (3D).
  • Commonly used for face recognition and background blur effects.
  • Supports Offline Background Removal, which can be configured in the Take Photo feature within the workflow.

Built-in Wide Angle Camera

  • A standard camera that captures a wider field of view (2D only).
  • Suitable for regular photos and video capture.

Aspect Ratio

This setting controls the proportional relationship between the width and height of the image or video. Maintaining the correct aspect ratio ensures that media is displayed without distortion and aligns properly with templates and layouts.

Fill Mode

1. Resize to Fit (Letterboxing)

Ensures the entire image is visible. If the aspect ratio does not match the frame, the image is scaled down to fit completely, which may result in empty spaces (black bars).

2. Resize to Fill (Cropping)

Scales the image to fully cover the frame. This removes empty spaces but may crop parts of the image.

3. Stretch (Distortion)

Forces the image to fill the frame by stretching it, which may distort the original proportions.

Live View Mirror

Live view mirroring flips the camera view to make movement more intuitive

Advanced

The Advanced settings allow you to fine-tune camera performance for either professional control or automatic optimization.

1. Manual Setup

Provides full control over the following parameters:

  • Exposure: Adjusts image brightness to avoid underexposed or overexposed results.
  • White Balance: Ensures accurate color temperature so whites appear natural (not too blue or orange).
  • Focus: Sharpens the subject; useful when auto-focus is unstable.
  • Zoom: Adjusts the field of view, allowing closer or wider framing.
  • Chroma Key: Enables green screen functionality by removing a selected background color.

2. Auto Mode

Automatically adjusts exposure, color, and clarity in real time based on the environment. Ideal for quick setup and consistent performance without manual adjustments.
