Selfie Wi-Fi Results and AI Failures

Updated Today · 2 min readIntermediate

After a guest submits a photo, their result page shows where that photo stands. Processing, moderation, and failure are separate stages, so each one needs a different next step.

Result States

Processing: The result is not ready yet. The guest should keep their current session open.
Awaiting approval: The photo needs your decision in the moderation section.
Ready: The approved result is shown privately to the guest, with the download, share, and email options available to them.
Rejected or failed: Check the reason. A retake or another experience may be available if the session and event allow it.
Unavailable: Check event access, the current link, and whether the session is still valid. Reloading the page does not fix every cause.

Face Swap With No Matching Asset

If a Face Swap experience has no asset matching its configured tag, the guest is told the experience is unavailable. If another experience is enabled, the guest can choose it. If not, no retake is offered, because a retake would fail the same way.

To fix this, review the Face Swap asset and tag in the template’s Experience tab, or offer another experience. A new selfie alone does not fix a setup issue.

Private Results and Public Visibility

A guest’s private result is separate from the public gallery. Turning the gallery off, or a guest declining a gallery or display consent, does not stop private delivery. Moderation and the guest’s own access checks still apply.

Note: A photo missing from the gallery does not mean the guest did not receive it. Gallery visibility and private delivery are checked separately.

Downloads, Sharing, and Email

The sharing options a guest sees depend on your template and their browser. A result email can be queued, accepted, failed, or uncertain. Do not send it again while delivery is uncertain.

The link in a result email is valid for 24 hours. An expired link is an access issue, not a delivery failure.

Note: For an unresolved issue, send Foto Master Support the event name, the approximate time with time zone, the exact message on screen, the device and browser, and any payment reference. Use a private channel for this information.
