Print Pal
Print Pal is a companion device designed to streamline print delivery at events. It works alongside your photo booth to manage the physical handoff of printed photos to guests, ensuring prints are organized and easy to retrieve.
How It Works
Print Pal acts as a print delivery station that receives prints from your booth's printer and presents them to guests in an organized fashion. This is especially useful at high-volume events where prints can pile up or get mixed between guests.
Setup
- Position the Print Pal near your photo booth printer
- Connect to the printer output tray
- Configure the delivery settings in your booth software
- Test with a few sample prints to confirm proper operation
Integration with FMSlide for iPad Printing
Print Pal integrates with FMSlide to enable printing from iPad-based setups:
- FMSlide sends the print job wirelessly to the Print Pal station
- Print Pal routes the job to the connected printer
- The print is delivered through the Print Pal device
This is particularly useful for iPad booth setups where direct USB printer connections are not possible.
Troubleshooting
- Prints not feeding correctly -- Check that the printer output tray aligns properly with the Print Pal intake
- Jammed prints -- Clear any jammed paper and ensure the delivery path is clean and unobstructed
- Connection issues -- Verify the cable connections between Print Pal and the printer
Tip: Keep the Print Pal delivery path clean throughout the event. Paper dust and debris from high-volume printing can accumulate and cause feeding issues.
