Getting Ready For an Event

Equipment
- TV + remote
- Laptop/Mini PC + AC adapter
- Wireless keyboard and touchpad
- DSLR camera + AC adapter
- Flash + Power cable + flash rod (for Mirror Me, Beauty, and Retro photo booths)
- USB hub — make sure the hub is powered (can transfer voltage)
- LED ring (if you have one)
- Printer + Power cable
- Micro-fiber cloth (for cleaning the mirror)
Cables & Extras
- Extra printer media set (paper roll + ink)
- 2 x printer USB cords
- An extra Hot Shoe adapter and sync cord
- 2 x HDMI cables
- 2 x Mini USB cables (for connecting the camera to the PC)
Setup
Each booth has its own setup instructions, but the main principles are the same:
- Make sure your computer is connected to the power.
- Make sure your touch screen is connected directly to the computer.
- Make sure your camera is connected directly to the computer and to the power (via AC adapter).
- Make sure the computer is connected to the TV/monitor via HDMI cable and that you can see the computer's display.
- Make sure the flash is connected to the camera (via hot shoe and sync cord) and to the power.
- Connect your printer, LED ring, keyboard, and other USB devices to the computer/USB hub.
Testing
Preset: Test your preset and workflow to ensure it works as expected.
Camera: Set your camera settings according to your photo booth model. Make sure your camera is focused and take a test photo to verify flash functionality.
Touch Screen: Ensure your touch screen is calibrated.
Printer: Verify the printer works when printing from the software and set it as the default printer via Control Panel.
