Overview
A QR Code functions as a URL barcode that, when scanned with an appropriate app, redirects users to a specified URL through their phone's browser.
URL Types
The QR code can direct to either:
- Static URL: A fixed web address you define (like your website or social media page)
- Dynamic URL: Includes a parameter based on the saved filename, enabling photo sharing during or after events
Dynamic URL Options
PicPic Social Integration
When using PicPic Social's cloud platform, scanning the QR code directs users to their photo's location within a created "Microsite," allowing them to share on social media.
Custom Server Upload
You can upload photos to your server and create individual URLs per image following this format: http://{your_domain}/{your_script}.php?q={photo_name}
Adding a QR Code (Static URL)
- Navigate to the Layout tab in your preset
- Add the QR element to your final photo
- Resize and position the QR code as needed
QR Code Settings
Click the menu icon [...] on the QR Code element to access settings:
- Default behavior: Directs to the uploaded photo in Cloud Event Gallery
- Custom option: Change the Type to "Custom" and enter your desired website URL
Once configured, scanning the code will direct users to your specified destination.
