How To Share Photos via Dropbox

This guide explains how to synchronize event photos to a Dropbox folder, allowing clients to access and download images in real-time as they're uploaded.
Method 1: Using DropIt Application
Dropbox Setup
- Create a Dropbox account and download the desktop application from dropbox.com/desktop
- Open the application and create a new folder (right-click → "New" → "Folder")
- Name the folder appropriately (e.g., "Graduation")
- Share the folder link with clients by right-clicking and selecting "Share"
DropIt Configuration
- Download and install DropIt from dropitproject.com
- Right-click the DropIt icon and select Options
- Go to the Monitoring tab
- Check "Enable scan of monitored folders" and select "Immediate on-change"
- Click "Add" at the bottom, select the folder icon, and navigate to your event photos folder (This PC → C: → MirrorMeBooth → Events → [event name] → photos)
- Right-click the DropIt icon again and select Associations
- Click the + icon and configure:
- Name: Custom association name
- Rules:
* - Action: Copy
- Destination folder: Your Dropbox folder
Method 2: Symlink
This alternative method uses symbolic links to sync folders automatically.
Sharing with Clients
Once configured, clients can access live image uploads through the shareable Dropbox link you provided. They can view and download photos as they become available.
