Screen Shows Nothing When Booth Powers On

Updated Yesterday · 2 min read

If your booth is powered on but the screen is blank, follow the troubleshooting steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

1. Check if the TV and Remote Are Responsive

Using the remote, press the Input or Source button.

  • If the source menu does not appear:

    • The issue may be with the remote or the TV itself.

    • Replace the remote batteries and try pressing the Input or Source button again.

  • If the source menu appears:

    • This confirms that both the TV and the remote are functioning properly.

    • Try selecting each available HDMI source one at a time.

If none of the HDMI sources display anything, this indicates that the TV is not receiving a signal from the mini PC. The next step is to inspect the HDMI connections and the mini PC.

2. Check the HDMI Connections

Open the back of the booth and inspect the HDMI cable connections.

Make sure:

  • The HDMI cable is securely connected to the TV

  • The HDMI cable is securely connected to the mini PC

If you notice any loose connections, unplug and reconnect the cables securely.

You can also try:

  • Plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on the TV

  • Reseating the HDMI cable on both ends

This helps rule out a faulty HDMI port or loose connection.

3. Verify That the Mini PC Is Powered On

Locate the mini PC and check for any indicator lights.

  • If there are no lights visible:

    • Check the power strip and confirm that the mini PC’s power cable is plugged in properly.

    • Press the power button on the mini PC.

Once powered on, you should see a white indicator light, confirming that the mini PC is running.

4. Recheck the TV Input Source

After confirming that the mini PC is powered on, return to the front of the booth.

Using the remote:

  1. Press the Input or Source button again

  2. Cycle through all available HDMI sources

If the display appears on the screen, the booth is now ready to use.
