Printer Not Printing
If your printer is not printing, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.
1. Check if the Printer Is Powered On
First, make sure the printer is turned on.
Look for the power indicator light on the front of the printer.
The light should appear yellow-green, indicating that the printer is powered on and ready.
If there are no lights visible:
Check the power cable connection
Make sure the power outlet is working
Try turning the printer on again
2. Check the Printer Cable Connections
Make sure the printer cable is securely connected.
Inspect:
The connection between the printer and the booth/Mini PC
Any USB or printer cables for loose connections
If needed:
Disconnect and reconnect the cable securely
Ensure the cable is fully inserted into both ports
3. Check if the Mini PC Detects the Printer
On the booth Mini PC:
Open Control Panel
Select Devices and Printers or View Devices and Printers
Locate your printer in the list
If the Printer Is Online
Right-click the printer
Select Printer Properties
Click Print Test Page
If the printer successfully prints a test page:
The printer is working correctly
Double-check your booth software or Global Settings to ensure the correct printer is selected
Run a live test by taking a photo and printing it
If the Printer Is Offline or Grayed Out
This means the Mini PC is not detecting the printer properly. Continue with the steps below.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps
4. Bypass the USB Hub
If the printer is connected through a USB hub:
Disconnect it from the hub
Connect the printer directly to the Mini PC instead
You can also try different USB ports on the Mini PC.
5. Try a Different USB Cable
A faulty USB cable can prevent communication between the printer and the Mini PC.
Replace the current USB cable with another one if available
Recheck if the printer appears online afterward
6. Restart the Printer and Mini PC
Disconnect the printer from the Mini PC
Restart the Mini PC
Turn the printer off and back on
Reconnect the printer once the Mini PC has fully restarted
This refreshes the printer connection and can resolve detection issues.
7. Check the Power Cable and Outlet
Sometimes the issue may be power-related.
Try:
Using a different power outlet
Testing with another compatible power cable if available
8. Restart the Print Spooler Service
The Print Spooler manages print jobs in Windows. Restarting it can fix printing issues.
How to Restart the Print Spooler
Press Windows + R
Type services.msc and press Enter
Locate Print Spooler
Right-click it and select Restart
Once restarted, try printing again.
9. Check for Windows Updates
Missing or outdated Windows updates can sometimes affect printer communication.
How to Check for Windows Updates
Open Settings
Go to Windows Update
Click Check for Updates
Install any available updates
Restart the Mini PC if prompted
After the update, test the printer again.

To make troubleshooting easier, you may also want to include these recommendations:
Label the correct printer in the software settings
