Troubleshoot: Unleveled Bot DrawingUpdated a day ago
If your Bot’s drawings appear tilted or uneven—like the marker touches one side of the paper but not the other—use this guide to resolve the issue.
Primary Causes & Fixes
Pen Is Dry or Worn Out
The marker might no longer produce consistent ink. Try replacing it with a new one and test again.
Table Not Leveled
Ensure the surface where the Bot is drawing is flat and stable.
Use a spirit level to verify.
Bot Not Properly Seated
Remove the Bot from the paper holder.
Clean the paper holder base and the Bot’s bottom to remove any debris.
Reseat the Bot firmly and ensure it sits flush with the surface.
Bot Firmware or Calibration Issue
May require a firmware update or factory reset (see below).
At an Event? Quick Workaround
If you're on-site and can't reset the Bot immediately:
Use Z+ Calibration Compensation:
Perform normal pen calibration using Z+.
Once the pen touches the paper, press Z+ +1.0 four times (or more if needed).
This pushes the pen slightly deeper, helping compensate for minor unleveled surfaces.
This often fixes the issue until a full recalibration/reset can be done.
Factory Reset + Home Recalibration Steps
Disconnect Bot from power and close the software.
Reconnect Bot to power and reopen the software.
