Overview

The Translations (Workflow UI) feature allows you to customize the default text displayed on buttons and interface elements within the FMX software.

This feature is useful for:

  • Translating button text into different languages

  • Customizing the workflow UI for international clients

  • Improving the user experience for guests who speak different languages

  • Personalizing the interface text shown during events

Accessing the Translation Settings

Follow the steps below to configure Workflow UI translations.

Step 1: Open the FMX Software

Launch the FMX software on your Windows computer.

Step 2: Open Global Settings

Navigate to the:

Global Settings

tab inside the software.

Step 3: Open the Theme Section

Inside Global Settings, go to the:

Theme

section.

Step 4: Open Translations (Workflow UI)

Under the Theme section, locate:

Translations (Workflow UI)

This is where you can edit and customize the button translations used throughout the workflow.

Adding Common Translation Keys

Step 1: Press "Add Common Keys"

Click the:

Add Common Keys

button.

This will automatically populate the available translation keys used by the software UI.

Step 2: Understand the Key and Text Fields

You will now see two columns:

FieldDescription
KeyThe internal UI element identifier
TextThe text shown to the end user

Example:

KeyText
Common.BackBack

In this example:

  • Common.Back is the system key for the Back button

  • Back is the text currently displayed to users

Editing Button Translations

You can replace the default text with any language or wording you prefer.

Example:

Default TextCustom Translation
BackBotón Atrás

This allows Spanish-speaking users to better understand the purpose of the button.

Applying Multiple Translations

You can repeat this process for all available common keys in the software.

This makes it possible to fully localize your workflow UI for:

  • Spanish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Other supported languages or custom wording

Important Notes

  • Translation changes affect the Workflow UI text shown to end users.

  • Make sure to save your settings after editing translations.

  • Custom translations can improve usability during international events or multilingual activations.

  • Some system-generated text may not be editable depending on the workflow or software version.
