Cloud Tab (Global Settings)

The Cloud tab in FMX Global Settings controls how media files are synchronized to Foto Master Cloud. Cloud sync enables QR code sharing, remote galleries, and online delivery of photos, videos, and GIFs to guests.

Sync Toggles

FMX provides five independent sync toggles, allowing you to choose exactly which media types are uploaded to the cloud:

  • Final Photo -- Uploads the processed final photo (with overlays, filters, and layouts applied).
  • RAW Photo -- Uploads the original unprocessed photo straight from the camera.
  • RAW Video -- Uploads the original unprocessed video recording.
  • Final Video -- Uploads the processed final video (with overlays, effects, and transitions applied).
  • Final GIF -- Uploads the generated animated GIF.

Enable only the media types you need to minimize upload bandwidth and cloud storage usage. For most events, enabling Final Photo and Final GIF is sufficient.

Override Assets

  • Override assets with the same name -- When enabled, re-uploading a file with the same name as an existing cloud asset replaces the old file. When disabled, FMX skips files that already exist in the cloud.

QR Code Behavior

FMX can create a placeholder cloud media entry at the start of each session, before any media has been captured. This allows QR codes to be generated and displayed immediately so guests can scan them right away. This is not a full Cloud session record.

  • When a guest scans the QR code early, they see a landing page that waits for media.
  • As soon as the media finishes processing and uploading, the landing page auto-updates to display the photos, videos, or GIFs.

This approach eliminates the wait between capture and QR code availability, creating a smoother guest experience.

Deduplication

FMX includes built-in deduplication to prevent duplicate uploads. If the same media file is sent to the cloud more than once (for example, after a retry due to a network interruption), FMX detects the duplicate and skips the redundant upload. No configuration is required -- deduplication is always active.

Tip: If cloud uploads appear stuck or failing, check your internet connection first. FMX queues uploads and retries automatically, but persistent network issues will delay delivery. You can verify upload status in the FMX logs.
