Login to FMX
When to Use
-
Immediately after installing FMX
-
When switching operators or moving the license to a different PC
Requirements
-
A Foto Master Cloud Account (email and password)
-
At least one available FMX for Windows license (inactive on other machines)
-
Internet access
Steps (Quick)
1. Launch FMX
-
Open FMX.exe
-
The Login screen appears if you’re not signed in
2. Sign In
- Enter your Foto Master Cloud email and password
- Leave Remember login enabled if this is a trusted booth computer, or clear it on a shared computer
- Click Sign In
3. Choose a License (if you have multiple)
-
If your account has several FMX for Windows licenses, you’ll see a selection screen
-
Pick an available (inactive) license to activate on this PC
-
If all licenses are in use elsewhere:
-
Deactivate one from the list (if available), or
-
Go to your Cloud portal, free a license, then click Refresh in FMX
-
4. Success
-
You’re signed in, and a licensed seat is now active on this PC
-
FMX proceeds to the Main Dashboard with your events and the Sync button
Options on the Login Screen
Remember login
Remember login is enabled by default. When selected after a successful sign-in, FMX stores the login securely through Windows Credential Manager and can fill it on the next launch. The password is not saved in FMX settings or written to FMX logs.
Clear Remember login before signing in when the computer is shared or temporary. If saved credentials already exist, opting out removes them immediately; the preference is separate from the credential itself. The email can remain visible as a convenience without retaining the password.
Windows can restrict Credential Manager in some managed environments. If secure storage is unavailable, FMX continues without saved autofill and shows a friendly message instead of blocking sign-in.
Forgot Password
-
Uses the same login as your Foto Master Cloud
-
Clicking Forgot password redirects you to the Cloud reset page
-
Complete the reset there, then return and sign in
Switch Account
- If the wrong email appears in the About tab, click Sign out/Switch account and log in with the correct Cloud Account
License Selection
-
If multiple licenses exist, you’ll select which one to activate
-
The list may display license keys and information to help you choose
No Licenses Available
-
If all licenses are active, you’ll be prompted to free one
-
Deactivate the other device, then reopen FMX
Verification
You’ve successfully logged in if:
-
FMX proceeds past the Login screen without errors
-
Your Cloud account email is shown in the About tab
-
The Main Dashboard is visible with your events and the Sync button
Troubleshooting
Forgot Password Email Didn’t Arrive
-
Check spam/junk
-
Resend the reset email and confirm the inbox for the exact address you used
-
If you can’t access that email, contact our support team to update the Cloud account
“No Available Licenses”
-
Deactivate FMX on another PC.
-
Reopen FMX and select the newly freed license
“Invalid Email or Password”
-
Re-enter credentials carefully (check Caps Lock)
-
Reset your password via the Cloud reset page and try again
If FMX filled an older password, type the current password and sign in again with Remember login selected to replace the saved credential, or clear the option to remove it.
Stuck on Loading
-
Close FMX and relaunch
-
Ensure you have internet access and that Windows Firewall/AV isn’t blocking FMX
-
Retry after a short delay in case of a temporary network issue
FMX presents friendly messages for invalid credentials, connectivity problems, secure-storage errors, and unavailable licenses. Use the message shown on screen to decide whether to correct the account, network, saved login, or license assignment.
