The About tab in FMX Global Settings displays version information, license status, and device identity. Use this tab to verify your software edition, check your license, and find the details you need when contacting support.

About Tab
Version Information

The About tab shows the following details about your FMX installation:

  • FMX Version -- The current software version (e.g., 3.x.x).
  • Build Number / Build Date -- The specific build identifier and the date it was compiled. Useful for confirming you are running the latest release.
  • Edition -- The FMX edition you are licensed for (e.g., Standard, Pro).

Tip: When reporting an issue to Foto Master support, always include your FMX version and build number. This helps the support team identify whether a fix is already available or if the issue is specific to your build.

License Status

The About tab displays your current license state:

  • Activated -- Your license is active and fully functional.
  • Trial -- You are running a trial version. The number of remaining trial days is displayed.
  • Expired -- Your trial or license has expired. Some features may be restricted until you activate or renew.

Device and License IDs

  • License ID -- The unique identifier for the license attached to this device. Reference it when managing your subscription or contacting support.
  • Device ID -- A unique identifier for the machine on which FMX is installed. Support may ask for this when troubleshooting activation issues.

Logout

The Logout button deactivates your FMX license on the current machine. Use this when:

  • Moving your license to a different computer.
  • Decommissioning a booth.
  • Troubleshooting activation issues at the request of support.

After logging out, you'll need to re-authenticate on this machine:

  • Subscription customers: sign back in with your Foto Master Cloud email and password.
  • Lifetime license holders: paste your license key (from Cloud > Licenses) into the activation field.

Tip: Logging out frees up a license seat. If you have reached your activation limit, log out on a machine you no longer use before activating on a new one.
