Adding Assets to the Cloud
Assets are the creative building blocks that make your photo booth experiences unique. Foto Master Cloud provides a centralized asset library where you can upload, organize, and manage all your creative files -- making them available across all your events and connected devices.
What Are Assets?
Assets are the visual elements used in your booth layouts and workflows. They include:
- Overlays -- Decorative frames, borders, and graphic elements layered on top of photos.
- Backgrounds -- Images used behind the subject when AI background replacement is active.
- Animations -- Animated effects such as GIF overlays or motion graphics used in video and GIF booth modes.
- Layouts -- Predefined photo compositions that define how one or more photos are arranged on the final output (e.g., photo strips, collages, single prints).
- Logos -- Your company logo or client logos used for branding on gallery pages, prints, and emails.
Uploading Assets via the Cloud Dashboard
To upload new assets to your Cloud library:
- Log in to cloud.fotomaster.com.
- Navigate to Assets from the left-hand menu.
- Click Upload (or + Add Asset).
- Select the files from your computer. You can upload multiple files at once.
- For each file, set the asset type (overlay, background, animation, layout, or logo).
- Optionally add a name, category, and tags for organization.
- Click Upload to save the assets to your Cloud library.
Uploaded assets are available immediately across your account and any connected devices.
Tip: Drag and drop files directly into the Assets page for a faster upload experience. You can also drag entire folders to upload multiple files in one action.
Supported File Formats
Foto Master Cloud supports a wide range of file formats for different asset types:
Images
- PNG -- Recommended for overlays and logos (supports transparency).
- JPG / JPEG -- Suitable for backgrounds and photos.
- SVG -- Vector format, ideal for logos and graphics that need to scale cleanly.
Animations
- GIF -- Animated GIF files for overlay effects.
- MP4 -- Video files for animated backgrounds or overlay animations.
- MOV -- QuickTime video format (with alpha channel support for transparent animations).
- WebM -- Web-optimized video format.
Layouts
- Layout files are typically created within the Foto Master software and uploaded as the platform's native format.
Tip: For overlays and logos, always use PNG files with transparent backgrounds. This ensures the graphic blends seamlessly over photos without a visible bounding box.
Organizing Assets into Folders and Categories
Keeping your asset library organized is essential as it grows. Foto Master Cloud provides several organizational tools:
Folders
- Create folders to group related assets together (e.g., "Wedding Assets," "Corporate Branding," "Holiday Themes").
- Nest folders for more detailed organization (e.g., "Wedding Assets > Floral Frames").
- Move assets between folders at any time by dragging or using the move option.
Categories
- Assign a category to each asset when uploading (overlay, background, animation, layout, logo).
- Filter your asset library by category to quickly find what you need.
Tags
- Add descriptive tags to assets (e.g., "elegant," "rustic," "neon," "birthday").
- Search your library by tag to find assets that match a specific style or theme.
Tip: Develop a consistent tagging system across your team. For example, always tag by event type (wedding, corporate, birthday), style (modern, vintage, playful), and color scheme (gold, black, pastel). This makes finding the right asset much faster.
