Survey Analytics and Exports

Updated Today · 2 min read

Survey analytics in Foto Master Cloud show the survey responses that were submitted to Cloud for a specific event. Use this view to review answer counts, inspect open-text responses, and export survey data for client reporting or follow-up.

Cloud survey analytics include submitted cloud-synced responses only. The full local booth session history remains on the booth device.

Where to Find Survey Analytics

  1. Log in to cloud.fotomaster.com.
  2. Open Events.
  3. Select the event.
  4. Open the Survey tab.

If no responses have been submitted yet, the survey dashboard shows an empty state.

What the Survey Dashboard Shows

The survey dashboard can include:

  • Total Responses -- Number of submitted survey entries for the event.
  • Question Summaries -- Response breakdowns for choice, rating, and similar structured questions.
  • Average Ratings -- Aggregate values for supported rating-style questions.
  • Open-Text Answers -- Submitted free-text answers where the workflow collects them.
  • Response Timing -- When submitted data is available for the event.

The exact fields depend on the survey questions in the event workflow.

Export Survey Data

Use exports when you need to review responses outside Cloud or share them with a client.

Supported export formats:

  • CSV -- Best for spreadsheets, reporting, and client handoff.
  • JSON -- Best for structured review or importing into another system.

Before sending an export to a client, review the file for contact details, consent values, or open-text answers that may need to be handled according to the event's privacy requirements.

Why Responses May Be Missing

If the Survey tab does not show expected data, check:

  • The event workflow includes a survey step.
  • The booth or iPad was connected to the Cloud when responses were submitted, or the local sync queue has finished uploading.
  • The event selected in Cloud matches the event used by the booth.
  • The survey was completed and submitted, not abandoned mid-session.
  • The local device has not been reset or cleared before the pending survey data synced.

Cloud does not create full session analytics from local sessions.json records. It shows the survey responses that were actually submitted through the Cloud survey workflow.

Survey answers may be related to contact fields, marketing consent, or other guest inputs. Access to full contact details is controlled separately from survey analytics.

Use the full contact details controls only when you are acting under the event's data-controller responsibilities and have a valid reason to view entries that may not include marketing approval.
