Upgrading from Basic to Pro: What to Expect

Upgrading from Basic to Pro normally takes effect immediately. The exact charge, renewal date, features, storage allowance, and AI Credit treatment are displayed for review before confirmation.

How Proration Works

When an upgrade takes effect during a paid billing period:

• Foto Master applies the amount already paid for the remaining period.
• The account is charged the prorated difference between Basic and Pro for that remaining period.
• The next renewal uses the Pro price and billing interval shown during confirmation.
• No refund or separate credit is issued for unused Basic time because its remaining value is applied to the upgrade.

The confirmation screen in Foto Master Cloud is authoritative for the exact amount and effective date.

Monthly and Annual Billing

The same principle applies to supported billing intervals:

• Same billing interval: The upgrade normally starts immediately and the remaining-period difference is charged.
• Change of billing interval: The confirmation screen shows when the new interval begins, the amount charged immediately, and the next renewal amount.
• Near the renewal date: A small or zero immediate prorated charge may occur when little or no time remains.

What Changes Immediately

After a successful upgrade:

• Pro-only features become available.
• Pro storage allowances and usage rates apply.
• Existing events, galleries, configurations, and purchased AI Credits remain.
• The plan-included AI Credit allocation changes to the Pro allocation and reset cycle shown in the account.

Data and Downgrade Warning

Changing between Basic and Pro does not automatically delete event data. A Pro-to-Basic downgrade remains subject to Basic feature and storage limits.

This protection does not apply to a move from Basic or Pro to PAYG. PAYG is a separate destructive action that permanently deletes events and event-related Cloud data after explicit confirmation.

Review the following in Foto Master Cloud:

• Immediate prorated charge
• New billing interval and renewal date
• Pro renewal amount
• Storage and feature changes
• Plan-included AI Credit allocation
• Payment method
