Managing Your Cloud Plan: Upgrades, Downgrades, Grace Period, and Cancellation

Manage Foto Master Cloud plans from Cloud > Billing and software licenses or 24/7 Support from Cloud > Licenses. This article explains the different effects of upgrading, downgrading, canceling, allowing a plan to expire, and deleting an account.

Current prices, billing periods, renewal dates, storage allowances, and features are displayed in the customer's account and current pricing pages.

View Your Current Plan

Use Cloud > Billing to review:

• The active Cloud plan
• Billing interval and renewal date
• Current plan features and allowances
• Payment method and renewal status
• Available upgrade, downgrade, and cancellation actions

Use Cloud > Licenses for per-device software licenses and per-license Support.

Upgrade Basic to Pro

An upgrade normally takes effect immediately after confirmation:

• Pro features and allowances become available immediately.
• Existing events, galleries, configurations, and unused AI Credits remain.
• The account is charged the prorated difference for the remaining paid period.
• No refund or credit is issued for unused time on the previous tier.
• Any new credit grants follow the applicable plan or offer; existing credits are not replaced or reset.

Downgrade Pro to Basic

A Pro-to-Basic downgrade is non-destructive:

• Pro-only features are disabled when the downgrade takes effect.
• Events and data remain, subject to Basic limits and storage allowances.
• All unused AI Credits remain. A change to future credit grants does not remove the existing balance.
• No refund is issued for the remaining period unless required by law or stated in the applicable policy.

Move Basic or Pro to Pay As You Go

Moving to PAYG is a separate, destructive plan change for eligible legacy accounts.

After the customer explicitly confirms the warning:

• All events, galleries, and event-related Cloud data are permanently deleted.
• Deleted event data cannot be recovered.
• Paid-plan features end.
• All unused AI Credits remain while the account exists, including purchased, auto-recharged, plan-included, bonus, and promotional credits.

If preserving Cloud events is important, move from Pro to Basic instead of PAYG.

Cancel a Paid Plan

Canceling stops future renewal. It does not immediately end the current paid term and does not create a refund for the current or already-renewed period unless required by law.

• Cancel Cloud plans from Cloud > Billing.
• Cancel software licenses and Support from Cloud > Licenses.
• Service normally remains active until the end of the paid period.
• Simply not using or logging in to the service does not cancel it.

When the paid Cloud period expires after cancellation, the account may enter the grace period described below. This is different from proactively moving to PAYG.

Grace Period and Termination

An expired or unpaid Cloud plan may enter a grace period of up to 30 days:

• Cloud access may be restricted.
• Online galleries may go offline.
• The account may be marked for termination.
• Renewal and payment during the grace period can restore Cloud access and galleries.

If the account is not renewed during the grace period, access to connected services and licenses may end, and event data remains subject to the applicable retention and deletion terms. Subscription expiration, suspension, or the end of grace does not itself remove AI Credits. All unused credits remain while the account exists and are permanently removed only when the account itself is deleted.

Review the consequences of a PAYG downgrade separately: it preserves credits but includes destructive changes to event data. A PAYG downgrade is not required merely to prevent unused credits from expiring.

Unused AI Credits do not expire or reset at the end of a billing cycle, regardless of how they were added. They remain until used while the account exists, are non-refundable, and have no cash value. Remaining credits are permanently removed only when the account itself is deleted.

Delete the Account

Account deletion is irreversible and results in:

• Permanent deletion of events and stored data
• Permanent deletion of all unused AI Credits
• Loss of access to services and licenses associated with the account

Account deletion is not required to stop renewal. Use the applicable cancellation control if the goal is only to stop future charges.
