License Management Across Devices

Updated Today · 5 min read

As your photo booth operation grows, you may run multiple software licenses across different devices. Foto Master Cloud’s Licenses page is the central place to view your licenses, track renewal dates, manage 24/7 Support, and purchase additional seats.

Important: You do not assign a license to a device directly from the Cloud Licenses page. Licenses become tied to a specific device when you sign in to the photo booth software or app on that device using your Foto Master Cloud account.

Viewing Your Licenses

To view your licenses:

  1. Sign in to cloud.fotomaster.com.
  2. Open Licenses from the left-hand menu.

Each row in the license table may show the following information:

ColumnWhat It Shows
SoftwareThe product the license unlocks, such as FMX for Windows, FMX for iPadOS, FMSlide, FMPrint, AI Hot Folder, Selfie Wi-Fi, Air Graffiti Wall, Draw Me Bot, or legacy software. When available, clicking the software name lets you download the installer.
KeyThe license key. Use the copy icon next to it if you need to copy the key.
ProductThe photo booth model the license is paired with, such as Razor Mirror Booth or Photo Mosaic Wall. Licenses not tied to a specific booth may show Generic Photo Booth.
ActivatedShows Yes once the license has been bound to a device, or No if it is still unused.
Auto Renewal DateFor subscription licenses, this shows the next renewal date and an auto-renewal toggle. Lifetime licenses show Lifetime, and free software may show N/A. If a renewal payment fails, the date may appear in red with a Pay Now button.
24/7 SupportShows the date your support is valid through. A Renew button appears when support has expired or was not purchased. Free software may show Free.
24/7 Auto RenewalControls whether 24/7 Support renews automatically each year.
Creation DateShows when the license was created.
DeviceShows the device ID currently using the license, or N/A if the license is not currently bound to a device.
Row MenuAllows available actions, such as deleting an unused license. Active licenses must be deactivated from the booth first.

You can sort by columns and adjust the number of rows shown using the pagination controls at the bottom of the page.

How a License Gets Bound to a Device

There is no Assign to Device button on the Cloud Licenses page. Binding happens when the licensed software signs in on a device.

To activate a license:

  1. Install and open the Foto Master software or app on the photo booth device.
  2. Sign in using the email and password for your Foto Master Cloud account.
  3. The software checks the compatible licenses available on your account.
  4. Activate an available license for that device.
  5. The Cloud Licenses page will then show the license as Activated = Yes and display the device ID in the Device column.

Moving a License to a Different Device

To move a license to another computer or tablet, such as when replacing hardware:

  1. Open the Foto Master software on the original device.
  2. Sign out or deactivate the license from inside the software.
  3. Open the software on the new device.
  4. Sign in with the same Foto Master Cloud account.
  5. Activate the available license on the new device.

If the license is still locked to the old device or cannot be activated, contact Foto Master Support.

Subscription vs. Lifetime Licenses

Subscription Licenses

Subscription licenses are billed annually at the per-device monthly rate shown during purchase.

They renew automatically when:

  • Auto-renewal is turned on.
  • A valid payment method is on file.
  • The account is in good standing.

If a renewal payment fails, the license row may turn red and display a Pay Now button so you can retry the charge.

If the license remains past due, the related software may stop working until the payment issue is resolved.

Lifetime Licenses

Lifetime licenses are older licenses that do not require subscription renewal. They display Lifetime under the renewal field.

A lifetime key gives access based on the product, version, and terms that applied at the time of purchase. Newer subscription-only products, Cloud features, AI services, or major software releases may require a separate subscription.

24/7 Support & 5 LDP Coins

24/7 Support is an optional add-on that provides access to phone, chat, and email support and getting you 5 LDP Coins to win events using Foto Master's LDP system.

The current price is $27/month/device, billed annually.

The 24/7 Support column shows when your current support period ends.

  • Click Renew to extend support.
  • Lifetime license holders can purchase a new year of support.
  • Subscription license support may be prorated to align with the license renewal date.
  • The 24/7 Auto Renewal toggle controls whether support renews automatically.
  • Free software may show Free in the support columns.

Adding New Licenses

Adding licenses requires a paid Cloud plan. Free-plan accounts may see an Upgrade Account prompt instead of the Add License button.

To add licenses:

  1. Click Add License in the top-right corner of the Licenses page.
  2. Choose the software product.
  3. Choose the booth product it will be paired with, or select Other / Generic when applicable.
  4. Enter the quantity.
  5. Turn 24/7 Support on or off.
  6. Optionally click Full Software Breakdown to compare features.
  7. Click Continue to move to payment.
  8. Review the order summary, including software quantity, 24/7 Support quantity, total, applicable sales tax, and annual billing note.
  9. Click Add Licenses to complete the purchase.

The new license will appear in your Licenses table. To use it, sign in to the matching software or app on the device you want to activate.

Note: FMSlide is limited to one license per purchase.

Scaling Your Booth Fleet

Each active device generally requires its own software license. As you add more booths, computers, or tablets, you can add more licenses to your account.

There is no hard cap on how many licenses an account can hold. For large fleets, multi-location businesses, or enterprise setups, contact Foto Master Sales to discuss volume pricing and enterprise options.

Tip: If you're planning a significant fleet expansion, contact the Foto Master sales team about volume pricing or enterprise plans that may offer better rates for large numbers of licenses.
