Event Settings

Updated 4 days ago · 3 min read

Every event in Foto Master Cloud has its own settings that control the online gallery, email and SMS delivery, surveys, white-label branding, and which Foto Master software runs the event. This article walks through each tab of the event editor.

One thing to keep in mind: the sharing screens guests see at the booth (entering an email address or phone number, scanning a QR code) are part of the preset running on the booth software -- they are not switched on or off from the event. The event's Email and SMS tabs control the templates and delivery settings used when media from this event is shared.

Accessing Event Settings

  1. Log in to cloud.fotomaster.com.
  2. Navigate to Events and select the event you want to configure.
  3. Move between the tabs at the top of the editor -- General, Gallery, Email, SMS, Survey, White Label, and Analytics -- and click Save Changes when you are done.

You can modify event settings at any time -- before, during, or after the event.

General

The General tab holds the basic event information and the software setup:

  • Event Name -- The display name for the event. Only letters, numbers, and spaces are allowed.
  • Start Date -- When the event begins.
  • Duration (in hours) -- The expected length of the event, in whole hours.
  • Software & Devices -- Enable the software this event uses -- for example FMX (Windows), FMX (iPadOS), Selfie Wi-Fi, FMSlide, FMPrint, or AI Hot Folder -- and configure each one, including its associated software license and selected preset.

Enabling Selfie Wi-Fi or FMPrint adds a dedicated settings tab for that software to the event editor.

The Gallery tab configures the event's online gallery:

  • Enable Gallery Access -- Turn the event's online gallery on or off.
  • Set Gallery to Private and Gallery Password -- Restrict gallery access (available on Pro Cloud accounts). See Password Protecting Your Gallery.
  • Appearance -- Gallery Background Color, Gallery Text Color, Gallery Background Position (Fixed, Full Stretched, or Repeated image), and an optional gallery description.
  • Showing Media Type -- Choose which media appears in the gallery: final and/or original photos and videos.
  • Download Button -- Control whether guests can download media from the gallery.
  • Social Buttons -- Choose which social sharing buttons appear on the gallery page.
  • Layout options -- Divide Into Pages, Sort Descending, and Back to Gallery navigation.
  • Gallery Link, Embed Code, and QR Code -- Copy the gallery link, grab the embed code, or download a QR code that opens the gallery.

For gallery branding with your own logo and colors, see Branding Your Online Galleries.

Email

The Email tab controls the email sent when media from this event is shared by email:

  • Email Subject -- The subject line for outgoing emails (up to 60 characters).
  • Email template -- Design the email with the template editor, or load and save reusable templates.
  • Email History -- Review emails sent for this event, with an export option.

SMS

The SMS tab controls text-message delivery for the event:

  • Enable SMS -- Turn SMS delivery on for this event.
  • Phone Number Type -- Send from a Foto Master phone number, or from your own number (available on Pro Cloud accounts).
  • Enable Receiving SMS -- Available when sending from your own number on a Pro account.
  • SMS Template -- Choose the message template used for this event.
  • SMS History -- Review messages sent for this event.

Survey

Build a survey for the event and review responses. Survey results also feed into the event's analytics.

White Label

Enable white-label branding for this event and select one of your verified custom domains, so shared links and galleries use your own domain. See White Label Setup.

Analytics

Review the event's activity and credit usage, and download an event report.

Presets

The preset defines the booth workflow (capture flow, AI processing steps, and output) and the layout of the final media. Presets are assigned per software in the General tab under Software & Devices, using the Selected Preset field on each software entry.

See Using the Load Preset Feature for more details.
