Using Your Own Phone Number for SMS (Pro Plan)

Updated Today · 2 min read

By default, SMS messages from Foto Master Cloud are sent from a shared Foto Master number (available on Basic plan and above). For operators who want full control over their SMS branding, the Pro plan allows you to purchase and use your own dedicated phone number.

Why Use Your Own Number?

  • Brand consistency -- Messages come from a recognizable number associated with your business
  • Guest trust -- Recipients are more likely to open messages from a consistent, known sender
  • Professional appearance -- Your own number reinforces your brand identity
  • Reply capability -- Guests can reply to your dedicated number

Requirements

  • Pro plan subscription required
  • Default payment card on file for number purchases

How to Purchase a Number

  1. Log into cloud.fotomaster.com
  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Buy Numbers
  3. Select your country and state/region
  4. Browse available numbers for your area
  5. Purchase the number -- there is a one-time fee plus a monthly recurring charge (billed annually)
  6. The number is activated and ready to use

Configuring Your Number

Once purchased, your number appears in your SMS settings:

  1. Go to your event's sharing configuration
  2. Under SMS settings, select your purchased number as the sender
  3. Test by sending a message to your own phone
  4. Verify the message arrives from your new number

Costs

  • One-time purchase fee -- Charged when you buy the number
  • Monthly fee -- Billed annually as part of your Pro plan
  • Exact pricing is displayed during the purchase process in Settings > Buy Numbers

SMS Without Your Own Number

If you don't need a dedicated number:

  • Basic plan -- SMS messages are sent from a shared Foto Master number at no extra cost
  • Pro plan -- You can choose to use either the shared number or purchase your own

Both options support full SMS functionality, including custom message templates, media attachments, and delivery tracking.
