Webcams (USB/UVC via DirectShow)
- All UVC-compliant USB webcams are supported.
- Typical examples: Logitech, Microsoft, Dell, Anker, Elgato, integrated laptop cameras, HDMI capture dongles that appear as UVC devices.
- Available controls (exposure, focus, zoom, etc.) depend on the specific camera driver; FMX applies properties where supported.
Notes and Recommendations
- Canon only: Native DSLR/Mirrorless control supports Canon EOS cameras exclusively. - Other brands can still be used if they appear as a UVC/DirectShow device (e.g., via a vendor “webcam utility”).

- Operating system: Windows 10/11 (64-bit). - Install Canon drivers (via EOS Utility or Windows Update).
- Disable Wi-Fi on cameras that block USB when Wi-Fi is enabled.

- Before buying: - Power: Prefer cameras with an AC adapter/DC coupler option.
- Flash: Confirm hot-shoe compatibility if using external strobes.
- Heat: Ensure reliable live-view for long events.
- USB mode: Confirm tethering stability with your firmware version.
